Harmony Network Rules
These rules exist to ensure that Harmony Network remains a welcoming, fair, and enduring home for all players.
By connecting to play.harmonynetwork.au or participating on this website, you agree to abide by these guidelines.
We expect all players to treat each other with courtesy. If an action gives you an unfair advantage or diminishes someone else's enjoyment of the game, it is not permitted—even if it is not explicitly listed below.
1. Community Conduct & Respect
Harmony is a shared community. We maintain a respectful, toxicity-free space.
1.1 Respect All Players
Treat everyone with dignity. Harassment, personal attacks, bullying, discrimination, racism, homophobia, sexism, or hate speech of any variety will result in immediate removal from the network.
1.2 Clean Chat & Communication
Keep public chat civil. Excessive profanity, spamming, repeated messages, ASCII art flooding, or screaming in all-caps is not permitted. Please use English in public chat so our moderation team can understand; you are welcome to speak any language in private whispers (/msg) or group chats.
1.3 No Advertising or Solicitation
Do not promote other Minecraft servers, Discord communities, personal commercial services, or external links in chat, whispers, signs, books, or forum posts.
1.4 Appropriate Usernames, Skins & Capes
Offensive, sexualised, or hateful Minecraft usernames, skins, or capes are not permitted. Players with violating skins will be kicked until their profile is changed.
2. Fair Play & Client Modifications
We take cheating and unapproved automation very seriously. All gameplay must be human and fair.
✓ Permitted Modifications
- Performance Clients: Sodium, Iris Shaders, Lithium, FerriteCore, Phosphor, OptiFine.
- Visual / Aesthetic: Shaders, texture packs, skin layers, cosmetic capes.
- Information HUDs: Armor durability status, potion effect timers, FPS and coordinate displays.
- Basic Minimaps: Minimaps that display surface terrain only (no cave mapping or player/entity radar).
- Inventory Sorting: Client-side inventory tweaks (e.g. Item Scroller, Inventory Tweaks) used at human speed.
✗ Prohibited Modifications
- Hacked Clients: Any client offering flight, speed, killaura, reach, auto-totem, Jesus/water-walking, or scaffold.
- X-Ray: X-ray texture packs, mods, fullbright cave finders, or freecam block inspection.
- Hardware / Script Automation: Auto-clickers, macro recorders, keyboard weights, and Baritone pathfinding.
- AFK Fish Bots: Automated fishing scripts or bypasses that reel rods unattended.
- Printer / Schematica Auto-Build: Automated block placement modules from Litematica or Schematica.
2.1 Exploiting Bugs & Glitches
Duplication glitches (items, rails, TNT, gravity blocks), bedrock removal glitches, or exploiting server desync are strictly forbidden. If you discover a bug or unintended mechanic, report it immediately to staff on our forum or Discord.
3. Building, Griefing & Land Claims
Player builds represent countless hours of creativity. We safeguard them completely.
Every single block placed, block destroyed, container opened, item taken, and entity hurt is permanently indexed by CoreProtect. Our staff can inspect and restore any area to any point in time with surgical accuracy.
3.1 Zero Tolerance for Griefing
Destroying, defacing, modifying, or looting structures built by other players without their explicit permission is strictly prohibited. Unlocked chests or unprotected builds are NOT free game. If you didn't place it, do not touch it.
3.2 Respect Neighboring Space
Do not build immediately adjacent to another player's settlement without asking first. Leave reasonable buffer space for future expansion.
3.3 Traps & Teleport Killing
Trapping players in Nether portals, sending deceptive /tpa requests to kill players upon arrival, or building lethal traps around spawn points is prohibited.
3.4 Skyblock Island Co-op Safety
Only invite trusted players to your Skyblock island with /is invite. While staff will investigate and punish malicious griefers, you are responsible for who you grant build permissions to.
4. Economy & Trading
Safe commerce and honesty are foundational to Harmony's long-term economy.
4.1 No Scamming or Fraud
Honour all agreed trades. Reneging on trades, swapping agreed items, or stealing payments during in-game swaps is considered theft and treated as griefing.
4.2 No Real-World Trading (RMT)
Trading in-game items, currency, accounts, or Skyblock islands for real-world currency, gift cards, or external services is forbidden. The only legitimate monetary transactions are through our official Tebex webstore.
5. Redstone, Performance & Farms
We want every player to enjoy a steady 20.0 TPS without lag spikes.
5.1 Redstone Clock Loops
Rapid redstone clocks must include an automatic shut-off mechanism or manual lever. Never leave rapid pulsers running unattended when you leave the chunk.
5.2 Excessive Entity Farms
Farms that breed hundreds of entities into a single cramped space cause severe server tick drag. Staff may trim excessive entities without refund if they are found to be impacting realm performance.
5.3 Inactivity Bypasses
AFK machines designed to bypass inactivity timeouts during high-population hours are discouraged to ensure queued players can join.
6. Moderation, Staff & Appeals
Our staff are volunteers who work to keep the server fair, fun, and safe.
6.1 Comply with Staff Instructions
If a staff member asks you to alter a build, adjust a redstone machine, or stop a particular chat discussion, please comply promptly.
6.2 Submitting an Appeal
If you feel a mute or ban was enacted in error, you may submit a polite appeal on our community forum or through Discord. Public arguments in chat or harassing staff about punishments will immediately void any appeal.
